China Stainless Steel Industry Annual Conference and China Stainless Steel Industry Development Forum

China Stainless Steel Industry Annual Conference and China Stainless Steel Industry Development Forum was held in Liyang City. The conference was hosted by the Stainless Steel Branch of the China Iron and Steel Association, and organized by Liyang Unilink E-Commerce Co., Ltd. and the Metallurgical Industry International Exchange and Cooperation Center.
The event was co-organized by Wuxi Stainless Steel Electronic Trading Center Co., Ltd., Liyang Baorun Steel Co., Ltd., Shanghai Futures Exchange, CITIC Metal Co., Ltd., the International Nickel Association, the International Molybdenum Association, and the International Chromium Development Association.
During the conference, representatives summarized the achievements and experiences of China’s stainless steel industry over the past year, analyzed opportunities and challenges facing the sector, and exchanged insights and proposals to promote the sustainable and innovative development of the stainless steel industry.
Gao Xiangming, Vice President of the China Iron and Steel Association, delivered a speech.
Fang Xuejun, Vice Mayor of the Liyang Municipal Government, delivered a welcome address.
Li Hua, General Manager of China Baowu Taiyuan Iron & Steel (Group) Co., Ltd. and Chairman of the Stainless Steel Branch, delivered the 2023 Annual Work Report on China’s Stainless Steel Industry.
Zhang Zhifang, Executive President of the Stainless Steel Branch, introduced the attending leaders and delivered a welcome speech.
Yu Xiaochun, Chairman of Unilink and Vice President of the Stainless Steel Branch, delivered a speech.
Liu Yanping, Secretary-General of the Stainless Steel Branch, presented the 2023 Secretariat Work Report and announced the resolutions of the First Session of the Executive Council.
Chen Qingke, President of Tsingshan Holding Group Co., Ltd. and Executive Director of the Board of Tsingshan Industry, attended the conference.
Wu Wennan, Executive Deputy General Manager of Jiangsu Delong Nickel Industry Co., Ltd., attended the conference.

Song Zhigang, Director of the Stainless Steel Division at the Special Steel Research Institute of the General Research Institute for Iron and Steel, China Iron & Steel Research Group, delivered a report titled “Variety Innovation Empowering the High-Quality Development of the Stainless Steel Industry.”
Feng Helin, Executive Vice President and Secretary-General of the China Association of Scrap Metal Utilization, delivered a report titled “Analysis of the Current Status and Development Trends of China’s Scrap Steel Industry.”
Jiang Li, Deputy Director of the Investment Promotion Bureau of Liyang High-Tech Zone, introduced the development and overview of the Liyang High-Tech Industrial Development Zone in Jiangsu Province.
Dr. Gaetano Ronchi (Hong Haitao), Chief Representative of the International Molybdenum Association for Greater China, delivered a report titled “Stainless Steel Water Supply Networks: Meeting Market Challenges.”
Song Quanming, Chief Representative of the Nickel Institute China Office, delivered a report titled “Advanced Powder Metallurgy Technology and Applications of Stainless Steel and Nickel-Based Alloys.”
Chen Hailian, Deputy General Manager of Guangxi Beigang New Materials Co., Ltd., delivered a report titled “A Discussion on the High-Quality Development of China’s Stainless Steel Industry.”
Han Jianbiao, General Manager of Unilink Information Network, delivered a report titled “Supply and Demand Structure and Future Outlook of the Stainless Steel Market.”
Wang Yuyin, Manager of the Commodity Department I of the Shanghai Futures Exchange, delivered a report titled “Leveraging the Functions of the Futures Market to Serve the Development of the Real Economy.”
Wang Lixin, Deputy General Manager of Unilink Information Network, presided over the China Stainless Steel Industry Development Forum.
Conference Venue
On October 19, the Stainless Steel Branch of the China Iron and Steel Association held the First Session of its Executive Council. The meeting reviewed and approved the President’s Work Report and the “2023 Secretariat Work Report of the Stainless Steel Branch of the China Iron and Steel Association.” It also deliberated and adopted proposals regarding the addition of new executive council members and vice president units.In addition, the meeting approved the decision to establish an Expert Group under the Stainless Steel Branch, and determined the time and hosting unit for the 2024 Annual Conference of the Stainless Steel Branch. Relevant units also discussed the main challenges currently facing the stainless steel industry
